The Crested Butte Wildflower Festival is an annual celebration of Colorado’s mountain flora. I led the end-to-end UX design for a proposed mobile app that brings the magic of the festival into a digital experience—enhancing how visitors explore, learn, and connect with the event and community.
As a self-initiated UX concept, I led the research, strategy, and design for a proposed mobile app for the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival. I wanted to explore how a digital experience could enhance a beloved outdoor event by addressing key gaps in accessibility, engagement, and education—especially in offline environments. This proof of concept reimagines the festival experience through a mobile-first lens, combining trail maps, flower identification, event registration, and member-exclusive content into a cohesive, nature-connected platform that supports both community and conservation.

In addition to core features like schedule viewing and event registration, I introduced playful, community-driven elements—such as a flower identifier, interactive scavenger hunt, and members-only hub—to boost engagement and make the experience more immersive.

To bring the interactive features to life, I put together a clickable prototype highlighting tools like the flower identifier and scavenger hunt.
Redesigning a national infrastructure database for better performance, usability, and long-term impact.
Flexion led a rapid redesign of the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) website and database, a federally supported platform that showcases how trail funding is invested across all 50 states. With the original site suffering from outdated architecture, slow performance, and accessibility issues—and no longer receiving funding—this project served as both a modernization effort and a strategic opportunity to demonstrate Flexion’s capabilities to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and strengthen our position for future outdoor tech work.
