While working for Asurion I directed most of my efforts towards enhancing internal initiatives, with a particular emphasis on improving employee experiences. My approach involved employing generative research methodologies, such as coordinating listening sessions, moderating focus groups, conducting diary studies, running surveys, and observing participants in their natural environments.
Building a sustainable research practice at a large company requires researchers to not only conduct research, but to also develop resources that enable others to lead research efforts. I’ve found that one of the most effective ways of doing this is to provide people with templates and how-to guides.
