Work Experience

Sr. UX Researcher & Designer

Flexion, July 2024 - present

**US Tax Court,** January - present

At present, I’m collaborating with the United States Tax Court to update and modernize their public-facing website, leading end-to-end design efforts from discovery through implementation. This includes improving usability, accessibility, and the overall user experience to better serve taxpayers, legal professionals, and the public.

Working closely with court staff, developers, and stakeholders, I translate user research into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma. I partner with engineering during development to ensure design quality and resolve edge cases. My design solutions aim to enhance navigation, streamline access to critical information, and meet federal digital accessibility standards, ultimately improving efficiency and reducing friction for key user groups.

Newborn Screening, July - January 2025

In my first contract with Flexion, I worked with a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, and public health experts to modernize the newborn screening process, improving workflows for healthcare and laboratory professionals.

By leading user research and stakeholder discovery sessions, I surfaced critical process challenges and aligned the team around shared user needs. These insights directly shaped our product roadmap and informed key feature prioritization. I also defined measurable success metrics that helped track progress and demonstrate the value of our design and development decisions over time.
